Dead Birds

I can not get my cat to stop bringing me dead birds. I am so glad that Jeremy has been home to take care of the dead birds. I have a phobia of dead animals. She has brought 3 of them in the house. When I was done putting Levi to sleep I came out to the living room and Jeremy said "Good thing you did not come out here 10 minutes ago." She had brought in another big bird and he said that she was throwing it up in the air and against the wall. It was already way dead but she was just playing with it. I dont like that she kills birds. Rats, mice, gofers are all fine but it makes me sad that she gets the birds, and while they are sleeping. I never see her go after them during the day. Maybe once we get her fixed than she wont do it any more. It was kind of funny cause about 3 days ago Jer trimed all of her claws really short and said no more birds for you. So she must not need her claws or they were not short enough.

Good News.

Grandma is doing better. They have her on some meds to help her heart and they think that she will be able to go home tomorrow. I am so glad that she is dong better and I hope that she continues to do better.

Grandma

This morning Grandma Madsen was taken to the hospital. After a bunch of tests and to make a long story short, she had a clot in her heart that moved into her brain and they have her in the ICU on some blood thinning medicin to try and dissolve the clot and if it wont dissovle with the meds than they will need to go in surgliclly and remove it. Shes doing really good with all that can be expected and we were able to see her. It was pretty scarey there for a while now the only thing to worry about is if the clot gets lose and moves to another part of the brain and that would be a real bad thing. So now all we can do is wait.

On a happier note I got to go play board games with my girlfriends tonight. We had a Moms Night In. It was a lot of fun. I am so gald that I went. I am so lucky to have friends. I some times look at myself and wonder where the shy girl that never talked or never had any frineds went but I like who I have become.

After the games I went grocey shopping. It was like 10 pm. I dont think that I have ever been grocey shopping with out Levi. It was kind of nice to be able to focus soley on what I was doing. I night start shopping at midnight all of the time. The only bad part was that all the checkers had gone home so I had to take my huge chart that was over flowing and go thru the self check out. The self check out is really nice when you have about 10 things but with a buch of things it probally took about 30 mintues to get through all of the stuff. The nice staff membere was helping me so it could have been worse.

Well I am off to bed.

Lay Offs

Today Jeremy called me at about 10am and said that his company was laying off 17% of the people. He said that he was not one of them. They told everyone in October than they were not planning on laying off any one and now they laid off a whole bunch of people. So now they are saying that they are not going to lay off any one else but if they lied about it the first time than how I am suppose to believe that they are not going to do a second round of lay offs. Jeremy said that it was real stressful at work. They laid off 10 people just in his department. I am trying not to stress about it. We just need to take one day at a time and be thankful for our blessing.

Venting

I am at the end of my rope. I don't know what to do with Levi. He will not sleep. Last night he slept for 5 hours and than was done. I have tried everything. I have tried not letting him nap during the day. I have tried letting him cry it out. I have tried putting the baby gate up in front of his door so he cant get out of his room. I have tried everything I can possibly think of. I am so tired and now its starting to really get to me. Jeremy and I are trying to get pregnant again and him not sleeping is really getting in the way of that because I am up all night trying to get him to stay in bed and than when I am in bed I am so tired from not having any sleep that I just crash. I told Jeremy that we need to put him back in his crib but I am not sure that will solve the problem. He will still be waking up at all hours. Levi has never been a good sleeper but for a while there he was sleeping thru the night about 5 nights out of the week and now its a battle everytime I lay him down and than when he gets up in the middle of the night its a bigger battle to get him back to sleep. I know this cant go on forever but some times its so hard to see the end. Hes grumy all the time cause he not sleeping and I am so onery cause I am not sleeping. We all need are sleep but he does not seem to understand that. I am going crazy over here.

Busy Busy Busy

I have been busy. My girl friend had a baby on Tuesday and we have been watching her dog. She had a c-section and stayed in the hospital for a while. So I watched her two older girls who are 2 and 4 on Thursday and Friday. Today I went to a Wedding shower for a friend that I had not seen in about 6 years or more. It was so fun to check up and talk about the old time. She is getting married in California in March but her parents live out here so she came out here to take her endowments out. Her mom put together a surprise shower. It was fun. I was surprised how many people from Santa Cruz have moved to Utah.
Last night Jeremy and I had a date night. We went out to dinner with some friends. It was a lot of fun. We had Leslie come over and watch Levi. I am glad that we have found a good babysitter. Its nice to get out once in awhile.
I also found my ipod. I thought for sure I had lost it in California when I was out there for Christmas. But last night I found it inside a pocket in my purse that I never use. I really have no idea why or how it got in that pocket and I am not sure why I was even looking in that pocket cause I really never use it but I am gald that I found it.

I am never going to Walmart again.

Today was good and bad. Jeremy had to stay another day in California so he did not get home till tonight at about 7.
So had the whole day with Levi. We went to lunch with a friend of mine. I had a great time. It was good to chat. Than I went and got a new mouse for my laptop at Circuit City. Circuit City is going out of business so it was 30% off of everything and there was a mass amount of people and only two checkers. So that took forever.
Than I went and got something to eat with Grandma. Than we had to go to Walmart do Grandma could pick up a few things. It was about 3 in the afternoon at this point and Levi had not had a nap yet. So he was throwing a major fit in Walmart. ThanI had to change a poopy diaper in Walmart and I walked in to the mens room. Some guys was peeing and said your in the mens room when I walked in. Wow talk about embassing. I think Walmart should make a rule that all there bathroom are in the same place cause the one by my house the girls bathroom is on the right side and this Walmart is differnt. So I was so frazzled and Levi was still screaming. Than Grandma had to walk up and down in no order what so ever an hour later we were in line and the check out line took longer than the shopping. There was so many people there. I am never ever going to Walmart on a Saturday again. At least not with a 2 year old that has missed his nap and a Grandma that does not understand.
So than we got home and put grocey away and than whent and picked up Jeremy.
I was gone all day. I am super tired. I have not been out of the house in months and I tried to do it all today.

Hair Removal

Have you seen the comercials for the hair removal system that is suppose to buff the hair off but rubbing this thing around in circles on your skin. I love trying new hair removal ideas. I am always looking for the best way. So I decided to research the buffing way on the internet. The websites made it sound too good to be true. Than I found this blog where this women had tried one and loved and told a story of how she was out of town and forgot to bring the buffing pads with her, so long story short she whent to the hardware store and got 600 grit sandpaper and said that it worked just as well.
So I asked Jeremy what the finest sandpaper he had at work was and he said he could get 1000 from the paint department so I asked him to bring me home 600.
Last night he brought it home and I decided to try it on my arms (I have no idea why I choose my arms). I took a small piecse of the sandpaper and started rubbing it in circles on my arm just like the website had told me to. Jeremy thought I was crazy, he said that when he asked the paint guy for the sandpaper the guy asked him why he needed it and Jeremy told him what I was planing on doing. I am sure they both had a good laugh about it. Anyways here I am rubbing away on my arm and low and behold its working. So I say look Jeremy its working and its exfoliating my skin at the same time. So after I take all the hair off the first arm I have Jeremy feel it and its soooo smoth. Its way smother than shaving ever is. So I cant have just one blad arm so I do the other one. I am pretty stoked that I found a free way to remove hair. Jeremy is amazed that it worked but he wont admit it.
So after I was done my arms sort of tingled. I thought it was becuase I had just sandded my skin. But than as time when on it started to hurt worse and worse. Than I had this red rash all over my arm. I was too proud to tell Jeremy that my arms felt like I had the worse rug burn all over them. I thought maybe I should put some loation on them. Bad idea, that made it really hurt. My forearms were so sore to the touch. They still hurt today when they get touched. But they are really smooth.

On a compley differnt subject, Jeremy is in California for the day. I took him to the airport at 7 this morning and I will pick him up at 1145. Hes going to fix some things at the job site he was at 2 months ago. I am glad that he will only be gone a day but I am really not looking forward to getting the boy up at about 11 in the middle of the night to take him out in the cold.

Ice Fishing

Jeremy went ice fishing the other day and had a great time. He caught one fish and brought it home and I cooked it and he ate it. I had a bite of it and it was pretty good. He wants to go again.

Snow Day

Today I got cabin fever and we decided to go out side and play in the snow. It was a really warm day (40 was the high) so Levi and I went out in the back yard and I tired to build my first snow man. Building a snow man is really hard. Its been warm so there was not a lot of snow but I tried and tired for about an hour or so and went Jeremy got home he said it looked like a big penis. I also noticed that our backyard has a nice baby hill for sledding. So Levi and I sled down the hill a bunch. Levi loved it. It was really nice to get out side and play.

Ear Infetion

Last night I put Levi to bed and about an hour latter I heard this loud thump on the baby monitor and I went into his room and he had fallen out of bed and way lying on the floor face up not moving. It kind of freaked me out. He has never fallen out of bed before. He was ok. I think that he was trying to get out of bed and fell. He spent the last two weeks sleeping in a portacrib when we were in Cali so I think that he forgot how to sleep in a big boy bed. After that he was up every couple hours. So it was a long night.
Today I took him to the doctor beacuse I was pretty sure he had an ear infection and he does. Hes only got it in one ear so thats good. I knew that on Thurday in Cali he had if but we had to wait till we got home to take him in. So now hes got antibiocts and I hope that he will feel better soon.

Happy New Year

We got home last night at 1am. It was a wonderful Christmas with family. It was hard to say good bye. We were having so much fun. I took over 300 pictures so I am still trying to get a slide show together so I can just post them in a slide show.
We went to the beach and did so many family tradition with my family. Than we went up to Jeremy moms house and had a wonderful time. Levi had so much fun with Cody and he keeps asking where he is.
We had a very low key new years. We went to the beach and bonfire and burned Christmas tress which is a tradition. We went back to Jeremy moms house and watched a movie than went to bed. We did stay up till midnight Utah time but did not make it to midnight Cali time.
We went to the Monteray Bay Aquarium with my family and had a blast. Levi loved all the fish but he had a best time chasing the pigeons on the warf and he kept calling them chickens.
I am glad to be home but I wish I did not have to much stuff to do.
