Wishing my life away

I am so excited to go to California. This week is crawling by. I wish next Wednesday would hurry up and get here and than while I am in Cali time can go really really slow. I really need to get out of here for a bit, change up the routine. I cant wait to spend time with my sister. I have really missed her.
Levi was talking to my mom last night and he asked if she was coming to Levis house, she told him that he was coming to her house and than he says "yeah, I am so EXCITED". It was really cute.
I have tried to fill my week up with things to keep us busy so time will hurry but its not working yet.
I put a hold on our mail for when we will be gone, and this weekend will be spent cleaning the house and getting ready to leave. Jeremy comes back a week before me and the boys we need to stock up on microwave dinners and such.
Seeing as it snowed yesterday I am that much more ready for some California sun.

Lazy Sunday

We had a great Sunday. We went to church and I was able to sit thurgh all 3 meeting. Jeremy did take Squishy out at the end of Sacrament meeting but other than we made it.
After church we can home and all took a short nap. Than just rested the rest the of day. It was so nice to just lounge around in our PJs.
This week I need to do a few things to get ready for our trip to Cali and than in 10 days we are headed to our highly anticipated vacation.

Babysitter

We left both boys with Leslie our babysitter tonight. Jer and I took the motorcycle to a friends BBQ. Its still freezing here right now so it was a very very cold ride and we just went to Magna but it was a ride none the less. We were gone for about 2 hours and every one was still alive when we got back. We had a great time. It was nice to get out for just a bit. Leslie is great with both kids.
If you know me, than you know it was a huge step to leave Kyle with a teenage babysitter. I did not leave Levi with a babysitter until he was like 2. I am glad I did though. It was nice to get out and have some adult interaction.

On a completely different note Levi is not doing to well with soccer. He played all of about 10 minutes today and than he was done and refused to play any more. I am not sure he is quite ready for it.

Update

We had Levis ENT doctor follow up visit. His hearing is great and the tubes look great also. We went swimming as a family to celebrate.
Kyle now says DaDa and I swear I hear him say LaLa. I like to pretend hes trying to Levi. Kyle is also so very very close to crawling. I have a feeling he will be crawling before we go to Cali.
I am getting so excited for our trip to Cali. I cant wait. Levi talks about the beach and flying on the airplane.

Mark Kenning

Last Friday friends of mine lost their father. I grew up in the church with this family and their loss is very hard. I had the opportunity to go the the funeral today. Mark Kenning was a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed. My sister Amy is great friends with his daughter Emily and his passing hits close to home. Nicole is the oldest daughter and I feel sadden by their families lost. One of the things that suck out in my mind at the service today was Nicole got up to give the opening prayer and her husband went up with her for support. It was one of the sweetest things I have seen in a while..
When Jeremy got home I was recalling the day and I was crying and telling him that death is so final and he reminded me that it is not final, its not the end. I know that he is in better place now. I will still be sad for awhile and when I think about the fact that he is younger than my parents it scares me. But death is part of life and I know this reminds me that life is short and you never know when you will be called home to heaven so make sure you show your love to your family.

Yardsale Jackpot

We went to a multiple family yard sale that was more like a small flea market on Saturday after soccer. We found a huge set of castles, dragons, wizards, pirates, knights and viking. It took some work to figure out how to put the castles together but they go together how ever you want them too. Levi loves loves loves playing with little action figures so this was the jackpot. The things in the pictures is less than half the stuff that came in the box and we got it all for $15.00.

Motorcycle Practice

Friday afternoon we went to the church parking lot and the boys practiced their riding skills. Levi was having the time of his life racing Daddy. It was fun to see them both having so much fun. Kyle and I even got to g for a spin around the parking lot.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day
Its been a long weekend with many ups and downs. I did have a good day over all today.
I love being a mom and I learned from the best on how to be the mother I am. I love my mom. She is a wonderful friend and mother. I am so blessed to have her as a mother. I hope that I can be the best that I can be for my boys.
I know that I could go on and on about being a mom and the joys and challenges but I am tired and like I said its been a long weekend (I will post more about that when I have more time) so I am going to get some sleep.
I hope all the mothers had a great day.

Preschool

Levi had is first preschool class today. He loved it. I dropped him off and got to the car and started crying. I always thought that I was going to be that mom that dropped him off and was happy to see him go and not be sad at all. The tears were very very unexpected. Hes getting so big so fast. I love this age that he at. He is so much fun and says the most funniest things.
Hes come in at the end of the school year. This is the last month and than they take 3 months off and start the class up again in September. So he will get to graduate at the end of the month. I feel bad that hes starting at the end but we will get him started up again in September and than he will be ahead cause he got this month in.

Sabbath Day

Kyle is really hurting from his shots on Friday and yesterday he developed a weird rash all over his body mostly on his stomach. So he has been really grumpy. I will be calling his doc first thing tomorrow morning. But we did make it to church today. It was nice to go. I sometimes feel like its a waste of time cause I spend more than half the time in the hallway with Kyle and days like today when he is extra grumpy I spend more time out of class than in it. But I am still glad that we went. Levi really enjoys going and is getting use to being a sunbeam.
We talked about keeping a journal in Relief Society today and I think of my blog as sort of my journal and my family record so I thought I would just write a short post.
I love my Savior, I am thankful for my Heavenly Father, I am thankful for the our family values. I am thankful for my boys. And I hope that we can grow as a family in the Gospel.

Movies

Soccer got rained out this morning. So we took Levi and Kyle to see their first movie on the big screen. We saw "How to Train you Dragon". I could not believe how excited Levi was to go to the movies. He was so happy. He got some licorice and popcorn and was set. I was so proud of my boys. Kyle slept through the WHOLE movie and Levi stayed in his seat the whole time. Levi loved the movie. He jumped at the scary parts, covered his ears when it was loud and cried when he thought the dragon and boy had died. It was so cute to see the whole movie theater experience through his eyes. He went potty right before the movie and right after. Hes getting so big and I am such a proud Mommy. We could not have asked both of them to be any better than they were in the movie. Jeremy said they were so good that we might have to see more movies.
I love my boys and it was a good way to spend a rainy Saturday.
