Almost Friday

Today was a busy busy day. I went to work and than watched kids all day. Than I came home and it took me two hours to sew the patches on my scout shirt and I finished just in time to go to the pack meeting where we met at the park and talked about trees.
I took a cute video with my cell phone of Levi playing with a teddy bear. He gives the bear a big kiss at the end of the video. This bear moves and sings and Levi will sing along with the bear to the ABCs. I told Jer that we need to get him one of these bears because he is fascinated with the way it moves and sings.

Camping

We went camping this weekend. We spent 3 nights at Crystal Hot Springs. It was so much fun. It was are first time all camping together as a family. Levi did so well camping. Last time I took him camping I was by myself with my family and I had a hell of a time. That was last year. This year Levi is now walking and not nursing and things went much better and I had Jeremy there to help me.
We were there with 6 other families. There were 4 other children Levis age there so he had plenty to do. The weather held out until this morning when it started raining and only got worse. So packing up was very wet but other than that the weather was great.
At the camp ground there is a hot spring and they pump the water from the hot spring into these different pools so there are about 6 different pools and hot tubs ranging in temp form 72 degrees to 104 degrees. The pools were a little run down and Levi kept wanting to go from one pool to the next and stick his feet in each one and keep doing that over and over so I did not get to rest much when we were at the pool. I did not get any pictures of the pool because every time we went swimming I forgot the camera. But I took a few of the camp site. since there was a bunch of family we were all pretty close together and it was what I call city camping because we were all right on top of each other but it was so much fun to be with friends and get out of town for the weekend.

Sammy is the best camping dog and he gets so tired and would curl up on my lap. I love when he sleeps on my lap. He loves to go camping but it wears him out big time. We are back home now and he is sound asleep at my feet in bed as I type.

I cant wait to go camping again and try a different spot next time.

Mid Week

We are going camping this weekend and I am looking forward to it. I hope the weather decides what its going to do. Yesterday it was 95 and today it was so windy and rained like crazy and cold. So I hope it even out by this weekend.
Levi has learned a song and it is so cute. I sing Old McDonald had a farm and than he sings the e i e i o part. Its so cute. He will walk around singing e i e i o.

18 Month Check Up

Levi had is 18 month check up today. I had the most wonderful pediatrician that I loved and he decided that he needed to go to Columbia and teach medicine there so now I am seeing one of his associates in the practice and I am not sure if I like her. She does not seem to spend as much time with us and she seems younger than me. She seems to know what she is doing though. I still miss Dr. Good and don't think any one can replace him.
Any ways, she said that Levi is healthy. He is in the 25 percentile for height and has not gotten any longer since his 15 month check up. She says shes not worried about it because he looks healthy. It still makes me worried that in 3 months he has not gotten any taller just fatter. She is also referring us to an ENT doctor so we can see what we need to do about all the ear infection. Hes a a whole bunch this winter and I want to talk to the specialist to see what they think. But other than that hes healthy as a horse.

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms. I want to say that I love my mother. She is the best mother in the world and I try to be more like her now that I have my own child. She is a role model to me.

I went to church today and this women that I know came up to me and asked if I was pregnant. After telling her that I was not pregnant she went on to tell me that I have a baby belly so she thought I was pregnant. I told her I was just fat. I am trying so hard to let it go and forget about it but you know the old expression that one hurtful comment can out do 100 nice comments. Why can I not stop thinking about it. Why does my mind always think the worst. I am now thinking things like she was just saying what everyone else is thinking. I know that I am 30 pounds heavier than I was before I had Levi and I don't need people telling me. I guess this will get me motivated to really start working out and eating better.

Water Damage

Well yesterday I notice that water was leaking from the celling into my kitchen so I had my Father in law look at it and he called a plumber. The plumber came out and said that it was the sink up stairs that was leaking. He fixed the problem no big deal. Than my FIL called a water damage company to see about the water in the celling. And this is when the trouble started. They put up a huge piece of plastic around my whole entire kitchen and than stuck a heater with a blower in the kitchen which sounds like a jet engine. This morning when I woke up the thermometer in the house said it was 98 degrees in my living room. Its so loud in the main part of the house I cant even hear myself think and its so hot. I spent the morning in my bed room with the door closed and the window open. They said that we could not open the windows in the living room because they wanted it as warm as possible. I also have no stove and to get to the microwave and refrigerator I have to climb in and around all these cords and its like a hot box in there. They say it will be like that till Monday maybe Tuesday. I thought I was going to go crazy this morning. You cant even hear the TV the heater is so loud. I will be so glad with this is done. I took a picture of the kitchen because it looked so funny to me.

Back Home

I am back home. It feels good to be home. I missed Jeremy and Sammy. I had a wonderful visit. Levi burnt the snot out of his fingers at my parents house. I am not sure what he burnt them on. We were playing out side and he walks up holding his hand weird and sits on my lap and I started to check his hand out and than noticed two huge blisters on his finger tips. He was not even crying until I noticed them and than he started whaling. He seems to be fine today but hes still got the blisters and they look sore. Hes got a bad cough that I am hoping will get better.
Jer took my car into the shop while I was gone and it should be done tomorrow. It was the CV joint. I am happy thats all it was. It does not even need new breaks. They will change the oil while its in there.
I am so tired and I am still on California time. I am happy that Rachel gave me the day off tomorrow because I need to rest and clean my house.

California

I am in Cali and I am sort of enjoying it. The weather was suppose to be warm and its been real cold and foggy so I was not able to go the beach like I was really looking forward to. So Auntie M Levi and I went to a park in SC where I use to play as a kid and Levi loved it. At the park they have these huge slides and Levi could not get enough of going down the slides and then climbing all the stairs to get back to the top.
Yesterday Amy, mom, Levi and I went on a 5k run as a fundraiser for my moms school. Amy got 3rd place in her group and my mom and I got head last because we walked it and I carried Levi on my hip for a mile and a half of it. My back and one arm is really sore today but we had a good time. Yesterday we also took the fishing boat out into the Monteray bay to do some whale watching. We did not see any whales. Levi had a great time driving the boat with Grandpa. I am going to post pics when I get home.
I do miss Jeremy and Sammy and I know they miss us too. I was ready to change my flight home to try and go home today beacuse Levi is not feeling great and I was not eirther but I found out the it would be $80 to change my flight but I am glad that I stayed. I really hope tomorrow is nice so I can go to the beach, I might just dress Levi up warm and go anyways.

Car trouble

We leave for Cali tomorrow. I am excited. I am really looking forward to getting away for a while.
On a less happy note my car is broken. Nothing stress me out more than car trouble. I think its the CV joint because it sounds like the driver side front wheel is going to fall off. Some times its not so bad and other times its really bad. I want Jer to get fixed while I am in Cali so I will have a car when I get back but we don't have the money right now so he wants to wait till I get back. So we will see what happens. I am trying really hard not to worry about it but its just so pressing on my mind because I cant be with a car. I am going to try and not stress so I can enjoy my vacation.
