Tonight I went out with my girlfriends and had a "baby shower" at dinner for my friend who is due next week. I had a really nice time. I really needed a girls night out.
While I was at dinner I got a few text messages from Jeremy and I did not answer right away so he was getting worried. I finally heard my phone and all he wanted to know was if I was ok. I said I was fine and that I just did not hear my phone. I asked him what was going on and he said he would tell me when I got home. I thought I was in trouble.
So I get home and he said that for about an hour Levi kept running in our room and pointing at the corner and saying Mommy. When Jer would ask him where I was Levi would rub his heart and say right here. Jer said that his mind started playing tricks on him and he thought Levi knew something that he didn't and I was dead and Levi could see me in the corner. The story freaked me out a little. We both have no clue why he would think I was in the corner and in his heart. I am gald to be home safe. Sometimes I really wonder what goes on in his head.

Journeyman
Jeremy made journeyman!! He had his yearly review today and they decided that they would make him a Journeyman. He is so happy. It means more money and hes not a lowly apprentice any more. I am proud of him. He works really hard and its so nice for him to work for a company that sees what a valuable employee he is and recognizes his hard work. Its funny cause last night I had a dream that he was fired, and today out of the blue he tells me hes made Journeyman.
I had a wonderful day at the park and I am really sun burnt.
I also found out that my good friend Beth is in town today and will be visiting me Friday night and spending the night. I am so excited to see her. She is pregnant with her first one and due 3 weeks before me. So it will be so fun to compare bellies and stories.

I am painting the roses red
This is post number 202.
Well maybe not roses.
Today I started to paint my first room ever. I have never painted a room before. I started painting the bathroom. I am painting it a Cherry red color. I am so excited. I cant wait for it to be done. I also know why I have never painted a room, its a lot of work, add a two year old and a dog and and everything takes twice as long. But I am having fun. I cant wait for it to be done. I am painting the medicine cabinet and vanity white to contrast the red. I am really hoping that it will look good when I am done. If not its only paint. I love bright colors and Jer thinks I am crazy. He told me no yellow, pink or orange. What he doesn't know is there are so many other really cool colors, like a nice bright green :)

Mothers Day
Happy Mothers day. I had a good day. I was not really feeling well so I rested most of the day. We went over to Dennis and Sherry for dinner. We had a really nice time.
I did get to talk to my mom. I love her and miss her. She has and is teaching me how to be the mom I am and I don't have the words to thank her for all that she has taught me and all that she has done for me. Now that I am a mother I really look to her for advice and comfort and I think that in its self is a great testament to what a wonderful mother she is, I want to be like her.
We did get the garden planted yesterday. I am so excited. I will post pictures.
We also went to the races yesterday as a family. We had a great time. We had got free tickets in the mail and two free soda coupons. Levi loved to see the fire and tow trucks on the track.

Birds
Today I had a very scary, traumatic bird situation.
Levi slept in so there for I got to sleep in. It felt so good. Anyways, we got up and I was lying on the couch checking the computer and Levi was watching something on TV. I hear Lilly (the cat) come in the dog door and she is making a huge racket. Sammy (the dog) jumps out from under my blanket and runs into the kitchen. I look over there and they are both trying to get at something that's under the stove. I than see feathers. Oh no I am going to freak out. I call Jeremy (it was about 10 min before his lunch break), I tell him there is a half dead bird under the stove. He tells me to get it out. I tell him that he needs to come home and take care of it. He said he cant and he will take care of it when he get home. I have a huge phobia of dead animals and wild animals in my space. So I am already planing on not going in the kitchen unless I have to. Jer than calls me when he goes on lunch break and I plead him to come home and take care of it. He than convinces me that Friday is a short day and he will be home to take care of it in a few hours. So I go back to doing what I was doing and the animals leave the stove alone. Than I hear what sounds like the bird trying to get out from under the stove. I freak!!! I call Jeremy with visions of a bird that has one wing and its guts hanging out coming out from under the stove. I tell him that its trying to come out of the stove and he than says it probably just the cat under there. Than while I am on the phone the bird comes out and flies right at my head. I dive under the blanket and start screaming. Jeremy said that I was screaming so loud that his co workers could hear me on the phone. I than start crying and screaming at the same time. This REALLY freaks Levi out. He comes running over to the couch and tries to hide under the pillows on the couch than takes the papers that where on the couch and covers his face with them. Hes screaming and crying right along with me. Jeremy all the while is on the other line trying to get me to clam down and tell him what the hell is going on. Thur my screams and tears Jeremy finally is able to understand there is a wild bird lose to in the house and its freaking everyone out. Sammy was running around barking at it. Jeremy has about 5 minutes left of his 30 min lunch but decides to come home. I than make a bee line for the front door and get Levi to come out with me. We stand in the front yard waiting for Jer. Levi is still crying and I am shaking.
Jer comes home grabs the bird that is caught between the window and the blinds and lets it go where it flies away. He was just a little pissed cause I was freaking out and he had to come home and take care of a bird.
It sure got my heart pumping. I think I gave Levi a phobia of birds now. It was very traumatic for both of us. I was so glad Jeremy came home and took care of it.
When Jeremy did get off work for good we worked on the garden and its already to plant in. I am so excited to start planting in the ground. Thank you to our friends that let us borrow their tiller. It made the work go by so much faster.

Park Day
Today started out as a good day. Levi and I went to the park with the moms group. It was cold and windy but Levi was having fun. Than we were standing around this above ground tunnel and talking and Levi and a few other children were playing in the tunnel. Than this women comes over and reaches in the tunnel and tells her daughter to get out of there cause that boys being a punk. She was calling Levi a punk!! Laura one of my friends was standing right there and heard her and said "excuse me if you have a problem why don't you talk to one of us instead of calling a child names" the woman than walked off all pissed off and talking to herself saying that Levi hit her child 4 times. We were all kind of stunned that a grown women, a mother non the less would resort to calling another child a bad name in front of other children. I was really hurt. I hate confrontational so of course I did and said nothing but as soon as I got in the car when we left I was crying (the pregnancy hormones of course). The worse part of the whole thing was the kids were playing fine in the tunnel, none of them were crying or even fussing, it was the mom that was freaking out. Levi was sitting in the opening trying to put back on his shoe and the girl was trying to get out. I don't know if Levi hit her cause none of us saw what was going on. I know my child is not perfect so he could have hit her, but that is no reason to call him a bad name. Punk is a really bad word in our house, just ask Jer. Levi is 2 sometimes children hit. That does not make it right, but 2 wrongs dont make a right.

The naked chef
Today was cleaning day. I spent the good part of the day cleaning the hall closet. It was a total mess and now is sparking clean. I thew away two garbage bag of junk just from the closet. I am so proud of how it looks now. I also did the laundry and dished and swept the floor. When I was cleaning the closet I found an old purse of mine and I was making sure there was nothing in it before I threw it out and I found a Victoria Secret gitf card. Its from about 3 years ago and I knew there was money on it but I had no idea how much. So I called the number on the card and found $33.00 on it. I was excited.
Jeremy Madsen arrested for stealing cars, was the story on the news last night. I showed Jer the story and he thought it was funny. He got to work this morning and was called into the board room with all the CEO of the company and the HR lady. They ask Jer to give them one good reason not to fire him. Jer had no idea what was going on. He had forgotten about the news. They than ask how he got out of jail so quickly. Than they all start laughing. They knew it was not Jer but thought it would be funny to play a joke on him. Jer said he about had a heart attack.
Levi loves to help cook. He helped me cook dinner tonight and did a wonderful job. It turned out better than normal.

Nice Saturday.
We went swimming today. It was great. They have two indoor pools, one is a kids pool with things that spray water every where and a little river and a slide, the other is a lap pool. Levi spend 90% of the time on the little duck slide. He loved it. I decided that I wanted to swim laps. Let me tell you that was quite the wake up call. I know I am prego and everything but I felt so out of shape. I use to be a swimmer. Swimming laps is so therapeutic for me. It felt so nice to just get in there and do it. But after my first 100yds I was already winded. I than told my self that I was going to do 500 and I did do it but man I was out of breath and sweating. My sis is probably laughing at me right now shaking her head cause thats only 20 laps. I use to swim miles and not have a problem. Hey its a start and I felt great after I did. It was wonderful to get my blood pumping and I remember why I love lap swimming. I hope that I can do it more.
We than all came home and all 4 of us took a nap.
We than went to our friends house and had a wonderful dinner, I think Meghan is the best cook I know except maybe my mom :) We than played a lively round of "Pit". I think that its wonderful we have friends that we found that love to play games as much as we do.

Rain
Jeremy and I went to the temple last night and had a good time. We had dinner there and it was really good. Dennis and Sherry watched Levi and he had a great time with the grandparents.
Today we were going to take up the rest of the grass in the garden spot but its pouring down rain :(. We will probably go swimming instead. We have not been swimming in way to long. Levi wants to go to the beach :) I told him its not in the budget right now. So we will have to see what today brings.
