July 4th

Friday was Jeremys Birthday. Happy Birthday baby. We had a babysitter planned for that night and we were going to go for a motorcycle ride and out to dinner. But that morning Jers dad called to wish a happy birthday and he invited us to go to Meadow, Ut where they have a "vacation home" and spend the holiday weekend down there. Meadow is where Sherry's family is from and its a very very small town in the middle of the state. So after weighing the pros and cons we decided to be very spontaneous and join them for the weekend. So we packed up meet them at their house in up here where we put the boys in the car with them and Jeremy and I rode the motorcycle.
We got our motorcycle ride in and it was a long one. We rode 150 miles down there. It was fun. It was a beautiful day. That was the longest I have ever rode on a bike at one time. I had a great time but my but was sore. The kids did great in the car with Grandma and Grandpa.
Saturday was the big celebration for the 4th. We got up and went to the parade. Levi had so much fun. The was waiting for every float to throw the candy and than when they did he would get so excited and wait for Grandpa to say it go get it. He got so much candy. Than after the parade there was a big festival in the city park. Grandma Sherry's family was there and its tradition for everyone to get the Navajo tacos so we jumped on that band wagon and we all had the tacos.
After the festivities at the park we went back to the house and rested and had dinner. Levi took a long nap. Than we went to the firework show. It was a very impressive show for such a small town. Levi loved the fireworks and we worried they were getting the stars.
Sunday we went to church. Than after lunch we left Kyle with the Grandparents and Jeremy, Levi and I went to find the hot springs. We found them but they were not flowing so we were forewarned by the locals that if the water was not flowing that we should not swim in them. So we did not swim in them but it was fun to see them.
When we got back from that Jeremy was not feeling well. I will save you the gory details and just tell you that Jeremy, Dennis and I had food poisoning all night Sunday and most of Monday. Come to find out it was the Navajo tacos. Sherrys family was all sick too.
So Monday we mostly rested but we had to pack up. It was a huge blessing that Dennis had the motorcycle trailer and we were able to but the motorcycle on the trailer and all ride in the car on the way home cause there was no was that Jeremy was going to be able to make that ride home on the bike.
So we had a great weekend up until we all got sick. Sherry got it today so we all got sick from the tacos. I was glad that the kids did not get it.
