Skate Park

Cousin Gavin had his birthday party at an indoor skate park tonight. We all had a blast and here are some pictures.

New Year

The Friday after Christmas I took the boys on a train ride to CA. My mom had major back surgery and I went out there to help her. She got released from rehab the day I arrived so the timing was perfect. She is doing a lot better than I thought she was but she needed a lot of help with everything so I was really glad we went out there.
The train ride going out there was a bit overwhelming and exhausting. The train got delayed due to track repairs so instead of 17 hours we were on the train for 20 hours.
Beside helping my mom and dad we had Christmas with the Craig's which was a lot of fun.
My sis Amy and I ran a race on New Years Day. It was the Los Gatos Resolution run. It was 5 miles and the first 2.5 miles was straight up hill. It was so much fun to run with Amy. I had never ran with anyone before and she really pushed me. I had to talk for about 3 minutes up the last part of the hill which really discouraged me but overall we finished in about 53 minutes which I am happy about. After the race we had celebratory ice cream and went to the beach.
The train ride home went a lot more smooth and the train was right on time.

Merry Christmas

Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve we had a party at Heather and Ivans. The kids played games and we ate good food.
It snowed Christmas Eve day.
Christmas morning the kids woke up early and we opened presents.
I made breakfast and we hung out and played with our new toys.
Afternoon we went over to Dennis and Sherrys. We went sledding in the park. Watched a movie had a wonderful ham dinner and played card games.

Santa Run 2012

Friday morning I woke up super early with Jeremy and Kyle and headed to the start the Santa Run. I walked/jogged this run last year and this year i have been training and this was my first 5k that I was going to run the whole thing. I was nervous. I had nightmare about the run the night before. I knew i could do it phically but mentally I was stressing.
We we got to the start and I got my race packet, put on my Stanta Suit and was ready to go. It was cold (like 34*), I knew that was toing to be the biggest challage for the run cause I am use to running in my very warm gym. Next they call for all Santas to come to the start. I was really suprised at hiw few people were running, there was only about 150 maybe 200 Santas running. We did some fun warmups as a group and than the count down and I was off. I had some technalical diffically with my music and could not be bother to fix it so I ran with out music. The course was out and back twice. It was cold and my face was freezing but I was running and I was not going to stop till the finish line. At the first mile my phone told me in my ear that it was a 9:45 min mile. I was so shocked to hear that. I had never ran faster than 10:45 miles. I got worried that I was not pacing myself. But I felt great. I was pasing people this year, last year i got lapped and this year I was running. I was proud of myself. I kept running and gave it my all. I crossed the finish line at 25:18. In one year I took 20 mintues off my time. I am hooked. I am looking for my next race. I never never never ever thought I would say this but I am a runner and I enjoy it.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgving at dennis and Sherrys house. It was fun. Rpthanksgving morning i woke up, made bean dip, spinich dip and two pumpkin pies. While the pies were baking i went for a run. Than we got ready and went over to the inlaws. At dinner was me, Jeremy, levi, kyle, Dennis, Sherry, Heather, Ivan, Katlyin, Gavin, Carriane, rachel, Dustin, Dominc, Aydin, Amy, Nathan, and Abby. There was soooo much food. The kids ran around and played the while time. After dinner we all played games together and it was a lot of fun.

Weekend Update

This week was a great weekend. Saturday we took Levi to a free hockey lesson. He loved it!!! We are going to keep him enrolled in ice skating lessons and than in January sign him up with ice hockey lessons. Hes so excited.
Than we took a road trip up to Smith and Edwards store in Ogden. Its a geat big store with everything in it. Bunch of army surplus stuff and farm stuff and its just fun to walk around in.
Than we had a game night with some friends and had a good time

Sunday we went to church and than after church we frosted some cookies.

Halloween

In the past 6 days we had two birthdays and Halloween its been a little crazy around here.
Levi turned 6 and we went to the trampoline place and let them jump till they could no longer stand.
Kyle turned 3 and we had an extended family party at our house on sunday after church. Not as many family members came as i thought were going to so i was left withna lot ofnleft over food but the boysnhad a greattime to it was good party.
Today was halloween.
Kyle and i went to school with levi and watched the coustume parade and then helped out in hisnclass room party.
Than we went truck or treating in gramma sherrys neighborhood with the cousins.
We all had a good time and i am tired and rewady for October to be over.
