The boys had their well child check ups yesterday and both got shots. Levi is doing great at 39 lbs and 39 inches tall. Hes so smart and loves to sing and spell. He is really loving preschool and playing with his friends. He took his shot like a man and only cried a little and it was more of a fake cry. He did watch them as they stuck him in the leg. He must take after me cause I like to watch the shots too.
Kyle is doing good other than his weight. He has not gained any weight since his 6 month appointment. I knew that he was not eating good. He perfers nursing but I did not know it was affecting his weight. Hes always been a chunk and been in about the 75% for weight, yesterday he dropped into the 25%. The doctor said I can still nurse but we need him to eat table food. So last night I did not nurse him all night long. He had never ever gone that long without nursing and I was in pain come morning. He did not want to sleep either. So after both of us taking cat naps in my chair all night long I tried to feed him about 7 am. Nope he did not want any of that. I tired oatmeal, I tired yogurt, I tired applesauce, I tired cereal. He did not want any of it. He would just scream. I think I got about 2 bites of oatmeal in him. Than I gave in and nursed him. We than both took a nap in my chair again. After he woke up was still really grumpy so I made lunch, mac and cheese, he probably had about 6 noddles total. Man is this kids stubborn. So he was still grumpy and wanting to nurse. I did not give in this time. I have him a bottle of juice and he drank about half of it, than took another nap. I was sore again from not nursing so I took a hot shower.
The doc promised me that he would not starve himself but as of 6 pm last night all he has had is a few bites of oatmeal, some mac and cheese noddles, a half bottle of juice and nursed twice. I really hope that he learns to eat table food again and really soon so I don't have worry about it .
